The job

Answers questions about your own past work. Reads your quotes, specifications, site reports, correspondence and drawings, and finds what you did last time, what it cost, and what went wrong. Every answer comes with the document attached.

What it does

• Indexes your document history, whatever shape it is in
• Answers in plain language, source quoted
• Finds precedents: the last five jobs like this one, and what they cost
• Surfaces what went wrong last time, from your own reports
• Says when it found nothing, instead of inventing something

What you get

• An answer with citations, not a summary to take on faith
• A precedent list from work you actually did
• A searchable index of a shared drive nobody could search before
• An explicit 'nothing found' when there is nothing

How far it goes on its own

Reads and answers unattended. It has no write access to anything.

Where it is weak

• Your own documents only. It does not browse the web: reading pages written by strangers and acting on them is prompt injection.
• It finds what is there. It will not find what nobody wrote down.
• Scanned documents need OCR first, and old scans are the worst case.

What leaves your building

Nothing. This role has no outbound dependency at all.
